WHO WE ARE
OUR BELIEFS
We are changed people, reaching people for Christ.
God exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19-20; Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:9-10
Jesus is the Christ, the eternal Son of God, who died for the sins of the world and was raised to life on the third day.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16; John 20:24-31
The Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative revelation to all mankind.
2 Timothy 3:14-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13
Romans 3:23; Psalm 139:13-14; Genesis 1:26-27
Every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Forgiveness of sins, the Holy Spirit and eternal life are given to those who trust Christ our Savior and Lord.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23
Those accepting Christ as Savior should repent of sin, confess faith, be baptized into Him, and live for Him.
Romans 3:23; Psalm 139:13-14; Genesis 1:26-27
The church is the body of Christ on earth and exists to evangelize the lost and equip the saved.
Ephesians 4:1-7, 11-16
Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Core values are the things that make our church different from other churches around us. We recognize God has called thousands of church bodies together to bring him glory and honor. These values are constants that permeate the culture of Macomb Christian Church. This is a place where everyone serves, changes, worships, and loves.
A HEART OF COMPASSIONATE SERVICE
Everyone is called to serve inside and outside the body of Christ. Service is God's message of compassion to a world that does not know him. When we serve, we become the church and part of God's plan for reaching the world.
A MIND OF LIFE-CHANGING TRUTH
The beginning of change is a renewing of our hearts. Truth comes into our lives through God's word, the Holy Spirit and a community of believers. We may learn in rows, but we grow in groups. The goal of learning is our transformation.
A SOUL OF DEVOTED WORSHIP
We are called to worship and enjoy God. We want to carve out time daily to be alone for prayer and Bible reading. We gather to joyfully, passionaltely and sometimes loudly, celebrate who God is and what He has done.
A STRENGTH OF REAL COMMUNITY
We need to be genuine with God and each other. Loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We should be able to speak truth and care for people in such a way that they feel accepted, valued, and have a sense of belonging.
